about me

CONTACTO
I was born in San Justo de la Vega, a village in the province of León in Spain, in 1984. Since I was a child, I liked to look at the sky in the summer nights and wonder what was that thing that looked like a spine hanging in the sky? Years later, in 2007, I joined the Asociación Leonesa de Astronomía (A.L.A.), from that moment many of my questions began to have an answer, what I observed in the summer sky was our galaxy seen from the edge, then I realized that I was hooked to astronomy. Between 2008 and 2011 I started taking my first astrophotographs, I was attracted to the fact that I was capturing light that had been traveling through space for thousands of years, in these eight years I have been learning and photographing the night sky whenever I could and I hope to continue doing it for the rest of my life.
In 2015 I joined a remote observatory Deep Sky West, in order to get the images I wanted, but at that time my work and free time did not allow me. At DSW I had the pleasure to meet Jim and Linda Powell, good friends and also lovers of astrophotography, they gave me access to the images obtained with their magnificent TEC160FL, later a gigantic TEC180FL and all the necessary equipment for imaging with those wonderful optical tubes, which I was lucky to see in person when we visited my dear friends in Amarillo, in the year 2022, during our summer vacation, but you have that trip in my Bolg.
Since 2023 and teaming up with my good friend Ivan Campo we have 2 telescopes mounted continuously in my backyard, since I finally changed residence, returning to what was my grandfather's house, and since then I have photographed every clear night that the moon allowed it.
After 17 years dedicating my free time to this wonderful hobby I am still eager to look forward and keep moving forward in the path of astrophotography.
